Balasore: After the Pahalgam terror attack, the entire country is on high alert. Blocking and checking are being carried out in various sensitive areas. Accordingly, blocking and checking have been intensified in Balasore district of Odisha. After the alert from the Intelligence Department, the Balasore Police has set up checking points at 10 places. The check posts have been posted between the state border and the district border of Balasore. Suspects are being kept under surveillance. Especially, strict checking is being done at Laxmannath and Bhograi borders of National Highway No. 60 in Udaipur on the West Bengal border. All vehicles travelling to West Bengal are being checked thoroughly. Similarly, there is a special focus on all the marine police stations in the district. The police have kept an eye on illegal activities and sea boats in the coastal area. Patrolling is being carried out on the waterways by the Kasaphala and Talasari marine Police stations.
