According to reports, this ambitious project of the Kerala government has been developed under the public-private partnership by Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ). Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani felicitated Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the X post of the Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan, the port has handled 265 ships and 5.48 lakh TEUs since the commercial launch. The Vizhinjam port marks Kerala’s rise on the global maritime trade map. It is worth mentioning here that, Vizhinjam International Seaport is India’s first semi-automated transshipment port. At the inauguration event of Vizhinjam port, PM Modi spoke on the demise of Pope Francis. He told and ANI reported,” Few days ago, we all had a very sad time. We lost Pope Francis.
