New Delhi,1/8(AO Bureau):Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to create another history on the international stage. For the first time after the independence of the country, an Indian Prime Minister is going to preside over the meeting of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). India’s former Permanent Representative to the United Nations Syed Akbaruddin gave this information on Sunday. Let us tell you that from today i.e. August 1, India is taking over the command of the United Nations Security Council. During this, India is prepared to host special programs related to three key areas of maritime security, peacekeeping and counter-terrorism.
According to Syed Akbaruddin, former Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations, PM Modi can preside over the meeting of the United Nations Security Council on 9 August. Let us tell you that this is the first time in 75 years that an Indian Prime Minister will preside over a program of the 15-member body of the United Nations. Syed Akbaruddin tweeted, “Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the first Indian Prime Minister, who has decided to chair the UN Security Council meeting. This proves that our leaders now want to lead from the front.
