MCL observes Swachhta Pakhwada- 2025 across all operational areas

Sambalpur:(Correspondent):-Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) is observing “Swachhta Pakhwada 2025” with a series of awareness programmes scheduled over a fortnight long campaign till June 30th 2025.Shri Uday Anant Kaole, Chairman cum Managing Director, in presence of Functional Directors and CVO, administered the Swachhta pledge to the employees at the company headquarters, inaugurating the campaign.This fortnight-long cleanliness campaign is being organised under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt of India to promote hygiene, sanitation, and environmental awareness across various sectors. It aims to instill a sense of collective responsibility towards maintaining cleanliness in workplaces, public spaces, and communities. More than 2,000 employees across MCL operational areas and headquarters will be participating in a series of awareness programmes marking a strong collective commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.The Pakhwada, being observed from June 16 to June 30, 2025 will be celebrated across all operational areas of MCL, The campaign includes awareness drives, jute bag distribution, street plays, cleanliness activities at public places, school competitions, honoring sanitation workers, and plantation under the “Adopt-a-Plant” initiative.
