As part of its ongoing peripheral development activities, Akanksha Ladies Club, JSW BPSL, Sambalpur Works, has taken a significant step by installing a tube well at PDF Colony, Thelkoloi to improve access to clean drinking water and promote better hygiene.
The tube well was inaugurated on 23rd June 2025 by Mrs. Neelam Singh, President of Akanksha Ladies Club, in the presence of Mrs. Abanti Nayak, Sarpanch of Thelkoloi, along with members of the Club and local villagers. This initiative reflects the Club’s continued commitment to enhancing health and hygiene in the surrounding communities of the plant.
Access to clean and safe drinking water is a fundamental necessity, and the installation of the tube well is expected to greatly benefit the residents of PDF Colony by addressing their daily water needs and enhancing overall hygiene standards.
The Akanksha Ladies Club under the leadership of Mrs. Neelam Singh has consistently worked towards uplifting the health infrastructure in the peripheral areas of the plant. Through various projects such as Mass Marriage, sanitation drives, health camps, and water accessibility programs, the Club continues to demonstrate its dedication to sustainable community development.
