Puri: In a heartbreaking incident, a college student lost his life after being hit by a Fire Services vehicle on National Highway-316 near the Chandanpur area in Odisha’s Puri district on Monday.The deceased has been identified as Swayam Subham Senapati, a 20-year-old final-year Computer Science student of SCS College, Puri.According to sources, the accident occurred in the afternoon when Swayam was returning home from college on his motorcycle after attending classes. A Fire Services vehicle, reportedly driving on the wrong side of the road, collided head-on with his bike, leaving him critically injured.He was immediately rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Puri, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.An investigation into the incident is underway.
