Air India completes fuel control switches inspection on Boeing 787, 737 planes; says no issues found

Mumbai, 22/7: Days after the initial probe report into the Dreamliner crash in Ahmedabad indicated that the Fuel-Control Switches (FCS) had transitioned from ‘RUN’ to ‘CUTOFF’ position, national carrier Air India has completed precautionary inspections of the locking mechanism of FCS of its Boeing fleet.

No issues were detected during the week-long inspection process, according to Air India which has come under scrutiny after the June 12, 2025 crash. The plane went down shortly after the Boeing B787 aircraft bearing registration VT-ANB at Ahmedabad .
