Bhubaneswar: In order to provide better traffic services to the commuters and residents of Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate Police inducted a total of 53 Student Traffic Volunteers. The 53 Student Traffic Volunteers will be posted at different traffic posts of the State Capital City to assist the City Police for better traffic management. The Student Traffic Volunteers were inducted to the Commissionerate Police in the presence of under the guidance of Police Commissioner Dr S.Dev Datta Shing and leadership of Additional CP Narashingha Bhol, DCP Traffic Tapan Mohanty (SAG) and Additional DCP Ankit Verma. The induction of the traffic volunteers is also aimed at promoting civic responsibility among students, and ensure to a zero-tolerance policy on traffic violations. The Commissionerate Police have taken this proactive step to enhance traffic management and encourage community participation in maintaining road discipline.
