Rayagada, July 29: In a significant crackdown on illegal liquor trade, Muniguda Police have detected one excise case and arrested one accused person in connection with it. The operation led to the seizure of 123.480 litres of foreign liquor and one vehicle used in the transportation of the contraband.
The case has been registered as Muniguda Police Station Case No. 153/25. According to police sources, the liquor and the car were seized from the possession of the accused, who is now in custody.
The police have intensified surveillance in the area as part of their ongoing efforts to curb the illegal liquor trade and ensure public safety.
Further investigation is underway.
