IBCS ORGANISES NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION

Bhubaneswar, Aug 01: Institute of Business and Computer Studies
(IBCS), faculty of management sciences of SOA Deemed to be
University, recently organised a day-long national conference on Digital
Transformation and Sustainable Innovation with speakers emphasizing
the need to integrate digital transformation with sustainable innovation
to tackle emerging challenges across multiple sectors.
The speakers stressed the importance of transforming academic
knowledge into real world societal impact underlining how inter-
disciplinary innovation and digital transformation should reflect in
practical, inclusive and sustainable development.
The program was graced by Prof. Bibhuti Bhushan Pradhan, Pro-
Vice Chancellor of SOA Deemed to be University, Prof. (Dr.)
Sanghamitra Mishra, Dean of Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM
Hospital, Prof. Ayasa Kanta Mohanty, Dean of IBCS, Prof. Enketeswara
Subudhi, Professor at the Centre for Biotechnology and Prof.
Manoranjan Dash, Associate Dean of IBCS.
Prof. Dash, who was the Organising Convenor, uniquely linked the
theme of the event –‘Digital Transformation and Sustainable
Innovation: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Business, Health, Law,
Agrculture and Society’—with Indian mythology drawing a parallel
between avatars of Lord Vishnu with digital adaptability.
Prof. Subudhi spoke on ‘From Idea to Implementation: Writing
Research Proposals to Secure Grants and Create Change’. The event
was attended by academics, researchers and professionals.
Prof. (Dr.) Ruchi Bhuyan, Dean, Institute of Dental Sciences, and
Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Das, Dean (Students’ Welfare) also addressed the
conference. Prof. Dash presented the conference report while Dr.
Preeti Y. Shadangi, Conference Coordinator, proposed the vote of
thanks.
