Gunupur: In a tragic incident, a bus overturned near Gunupur in Rayagada district of Odisha said reliable reports on Wednesday. As many as 10 passengers were injured.The bus was enroute from Puri to Kotpad, when it lost control and overturned on the road near Akhushinga. There were about 50 passengers in the bus. Reports said that, ten people were slightly injured in the accident.All have been admitted to Padmapur Medical College. The accident is believed to have occurred at around 3 am. Padmapur police and fire brigade personnel reached and rescued them.A few months back, there was a truck bus accident in Jajpur district of Odisha in which one person has been killed. According to reports, a private passenger bus hit the back of the truck with high impact so much so that, one person died on the spot and more than 20 passengers were injured.The fatal road accident took place near Jarka Street on National Highway number 16 of Jajpur district. According to information available, a passenger bus enroute from Baripada to Bhubaneswar rammed into the back of a fertilizer laden truck which was stationary on the national highway. It has been reported that the bus helper died on the spot while more than 20 passengers were injured.Reports said that, all those injured in the truck bus accident in Jajpur were treated at Dharmashala community health center (CHC). Further, two of them were seriously injured and had to be shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack. It has been reported that some passengers were rescued by breaking the glass of the bus.On receiving the information, the Dharmasahla police seized the two vehicles involved in the accident and are continuing further investigation into the incident.
