Kansariguda, Rayagada, 3rd September 2025:
Aditya Alumina Refinery, a unit of Hindalco Industries Limited of the Aditya Birla Group, has taken a significant step towards skill development and youth empowerment by sponsoring the admission of local candidates into ITI courses under its flagship initiative Project KAUSHAL.
Under this initiative, the selected youths will undergo quality technical training at the renowned KIIT, Bhubaneswar, with full lodging and boarding facilities. The program aims to enhance employability by equipping them with industry-relevant skills and practical exposure.
The flag-off ceremony was held today in the esteemed presence of Mr. Mazhar Beig, Unit Head & President& Other senior leadership team of Aditya Alumina Refinery. A total of 50 local youths, predominantly from tribal communities, have been enrolled to pursue a two-year full-time ITI course followed by one year of on-the-job training in Bhubaneswar.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Beig emphasized, “Project KAUSHAL is a step towards building a strong foundation for sustainable livelihoods. By nurturing technical skills among local talent, we are empowering the community to participate in the industrial growth story of the region.”
With this initiative, Aditya Alumina Refinery continues to reaffirm its commitment to community development, sustainable livelihoods, and inclusive growth by creating opportunities for the youth of the region.
