Bhubaneswar: The Central government has mandated all manufacturers, packers and importers to mention the revised prices after the GST reduction. The revised prices will come into effect from September 22.While speaking to the Media personnel Minister of Food supply and consumer affairs Krushna Chandra Patra informed the same today. Thus as per the instructions of the Central government, the new revised prices will be printed on the products.It is mandatory to write revised prices on goods. Before the GST revision, it is necessary to mention new prices on goods. The new prices should be implemented according to the reduced GST.The said instructions will be implemented by the end of December this year. However, the old prices will not be deleted, instead the new prices will be mentioned next to them.The minister also said that GST has been reduced from all the prices. It has been completely waived off in many products.He said, “The honorable Prime Minister has taken a good decision. Our department welcomes it. The profit and loss of the wholesaler is not a big issue. The Prime Minister has taken a big decision keeping in mind the interests and convenience of the common public.”
