Utkalika Handicrafts Exhibition Inaugurated at NTPC Darlipali Township.

Sundergarh:(Correspondent):- An exhibition showcasing the rich heritage of Odisha’s handloom and handicrafts was inaugurated at NTPC Darlipali Township. The exhibition is being organized by Utkalika – Odisha State Cooperative Handicraft Corporation Ltd., with the objective of promoting and supporting local weavers and artisans of the state.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guests, Sh. Ravindra Sharma, GM (O&M),. Mrs. Tazeen Jawed, President, Abhilasha Ladies Club; Mrs. Kavita Saxena, President, Prerna NTPC Darlipali, along with other dignitaries and officials.
The exhibition will remain open to the public from 11th to 20th January 2026, offering a wide range of authentic handloom fabrics, traditional crafts, and artistic products made by skilled artisans from different districts of Odisha.
Utkalika, a Government of Odisha undertaking, plays a vital role in the development, promotion, and marketing of handloom and handicraft products while ensuring fair wages and sustainable livelihood opportunities for weavers and artisans. Through such exhibitions, Utkalika provides a direct platform for artisans to reach customers and helps preserve Odisha’s rich cultural traditions.
The exhibition also aims to encourage citizens to support local craftsmanship and actively contribute to the economic empowerment of Odisha’s weaver and artisan communities. Through such initiatives, NTPC Darlipali continues to extend its support in popularising Odisha State handicrafts by providing a prominent platform for artisans to showcase and market their products
