Berhampur, March 26: The Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday launched simultaneous raids at five locations linked to Panchu Behera, SDO of Daha Irrigation Sub-Division under Bhanjanagar Irrigation Division in Ganjam district, over allegations of possession of disproportionate assets.Acting on search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Berhampur, multiple teams comprising three DSPs, seven Inspectors, and supporting staff carried out searches at different premises associated with the official.The raids are being conducted at a triple-storeyed residential building at Basant Vihar in Berhampur, a government quarter at Bhanjanagar, his office chamber in Bhanjanagar, his paternal house at Polasara, and a relative’s house at Bima Nagar in Berhampur.According to Vigilance sources, the searches are underway to ascertain the extent of assets allegedly amassed by the official disproportionate to his known sources of income.
