7 arrested, pistol, ganja, car and cough syrup seized in three separate incidents

SUBARNAPUR, 27/5— Birmaharajpur and Sonepur police in Subarnapur district have achieved great success. Police have raided three different places in the district and seized a large quantity of ganja, cough syrup, money, Pistol and mobile phones. In this regard, Birmaharajpur police have registered a case under No. 136/2026 U/s-20( b)(ii)(B)/21(b)/29NDPS Act /25Arms Act and three persons have been arrested. Similarly, Sonepur police have registered a case No. 197/2026 U/s -20( b)(ii)( B)21( b)29NDPS Act /25Arms Act and two persons have been arrested, while another case No. 198/2026 U/s-20( b)(ii)(c)/25/29 of NDPS Act 1985 Two accused have been arrested. On receiving the information yesterday, on the instructions of Subarnapur Supdt. Of Police , Birmaharajpur and Sonepur police stations of the district conducted raids at different places. As a result, a total of 34 kg of ganja, 393 bottles of cough syrup, Rs. 4 lakh 64 thousand along with two pistols, 5 live bullets, two cars, two motorcycles and 6 mobile phones were seized from these places and a total of 7 people have been arrested and tried in court. This was informed by Subarnapur Supdt. Of Police Narayan Nayak at a press conference held at the Subarnapur District Police Headquarters on Wednesday.
