We’ll collaborate with NDA under PM Modi’s leadership’: Kakoli Ghosh as 19 TMC MPs announce merger with NCPI

New Delhi, 14/6: The post-election crisis in Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress reached a crescendo on Sunday with at least 19 rebel MPs announcing that they will be merging with a little-known ‘Nationalist Citizens Party of India’ (NCPI) and officially urging Speaker Om Birla to allot them separate seating in Lok Sabha.

This culminates the party’s downward spiral after around 60 of the 80 MLAs went against Mamata in West Bengal Assembly and three MPs quit Rajya Sabha with the seats all set to go to the ruling BJP in a bypoll. With rebels claiming support of 20 MPs.
