Jagatsinghpur June 18. To mark the completion of the BJP-ruled Odisha government’s second anniversary, a district-level celebration and press conference were held at Sanskruti Bhawan here on Thursday. Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo attended the event as chief guest and highlighted the state government’s achievements since the BJP government assumed office in the year 2024.Speaking at the occasion, DCM Singh Deo discussed the several welfare programmes implemented by the government in the past two years and how common people are benefiting from these welfare schemes, and outlined the state government’s vision and roadmap for the period from 2026 to 2036.Concentrating on the development of Jagatsinghpur district during BJP regime DCM revealed that establishment of JSW steel plant at Paradip a milestone acheivments in industrial sector will generate massive direct and indirect employments for Jagatsinghpur youths, a captive Jetty project cost Rs 2104 Crore will establish at Jatadhari River Mouth, 300 units free electricity is being provided under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, the state government has rolled out a staggering 121 new schemes and welfare initiatives tailored to align with the duel visions of Samrudha Odisha 2036 and Vikasit Bharat 2047, Deputy CM Singh Deo revealed.Jagatsinghpur MLA Amarendra Das deliberated that the benefits received for Jagatsinghpur district are estimated to Rs 2500 Crore in two years; these projects included the establishment and development of a medical college and headquarters hospital, the founding of an engineering college and university. Jagatsinghpur MP Bibhu Prasad Tarai, reading success stories of the BJP government, informed that as many as 86 Lakh farmers are getting PM Kissan and CM Kissan assistance in Odisha in two years, including women-centric Subhadra Yojana; nearly 1 Crore women in the state have received Rs 20,000 each. Tirtol MLA Ramakanta Bhoi, Collector J Sonal, municipality chairperson Archana Singh, ADM Sambit Kumar Rout, SP Ankit Verma, and officers from several departments attended the event. DCM Singh Deo inaugurated an exhibition showcasing the state government’s achievements in the past two years.
