Bhubaneswar, 19/6: In a major administrative move, The Odisha government on Thursday suspended senior IPS officer Dayal Gangwar in connection with the high-profile death case of GRP constable Soumya Ranjan Swain.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi ordered the suspension after allegations of mental harassment were levelled against Gangwar by Soumya’s family. The officer had earlier been transferred and posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Home Department.
