Odisha Vigilance arrested Satyanarayan Sethy, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Kotpada Block in Koraput district, for possession of disproportionate assets.Officials confirmed he will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Jeypore.Searches revealed Sethy owned assets far exceeding his known sources of income. Investigators found two flats, including one benami flat, three farms spread over 14 acres with mango and eucalyptus plantations, and forty-nine plots, of which seventeen were benami. Authorities also seized gold weighing approximately 940 grams, silver weighing 2.5 kilograms, cash amounting to ₹5.48 lakhs, deposits exceeding ₹60.92 lakhs, and a benami four-wheeler, a Tata Harrier.Officials stated Sethy failed to explain the sources of these assets satisfactorily. Vigilance registered Koraput PS Case No. 11/2026 under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018.
