Bhubaneswar, Jul 17: The investigation into the mysterious death of Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) Beauty Mohanty has gathered pace, with the Commissionerate Police receiving the call details of one of her mobile phones from the State Forensic Science Laboratory.Sharing the latest developments, Cuttack DCP Rishikesh Khilari said the call data of one phone has been analysed, while the report of the second mobile phone is still awaited.The case is currently being investigated by three dedicated teams of the Commissionerate Police, which are examining the post-mortem report, call records, digital evidence, and other forensic findings to determine the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death.Despite the ongoing investigation, police said they have not yet found any conclusive clue regarding the cause of death.Investigators are also scrutinising the deceased officer’s bank accounts and financial transactions. According to the police, no suspicious financial transactions have been detected so far.As part of the probe, officers are questioning individuals who had been in frequent telephonic contact with Beauty Mohanty in the days leading up to the incident. Their statements are expected to help investigators piece together the events preceding her death.The investigation remains underway, and police are awaiting further forensic reports before drawing any conclusions.
