Sikkim, 21/7: At least seven people have died and 27 workers are believed to be trapped after a methane gas explosion inside an under-construction tunnel in Sikkim triggered a landslide, sealing the entrance.
Rescue teams are continuing the operations for the second straight day as they attempt to reach those stranded inside the tunnel, which is part of the NHPC Teesta Stage-VI Hydroelectric Project in Namchi district.
