New Delhi, 4/8: Air India on Tuesday said its flight AI2793 from Phuket to Delhi experienced severe turbulence while cruising, resulting, resulting in a momentary change in altitude. The sudden drop of 300 feet caused minor injuries to passengers and crew members.
The airlines, in a statement, said that the pilot suddenly reported a 300 feet altitude drop, likely caused by a turbulence or an updraft/downdraft. According to a PTI report citing sources, 12 people, including passengers and crew members were injured.
