Bona: A truck full with passengers has fallen into a river, killing 60 people on the spot in an accident in Ethiopia. According to officials in the South Sidama region, the horrific accident took place in Bona district. The injured in the accident are being treated at Bona General Hospital. The accident took place in Sidama state, about 300 kilometers from the capital, Addis Ababa. According to the state-owned Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC), everyone was going to attend a wedding ceremony. Everyone was traveling in a truck. But suddenly the truck lost control and fell into the river. On the other hand, the search for people in the river is ongoing. Local people and government departments are engaged in relief and rescue operations. It is worth noting that road accidents have become common in Ethiopia. Poor driving standards and old vehicles are the biggest obstacles to safe transportation here. A major accident occurred in Ethiopia in 2018. In this accident, a bus full of students fell into a ditch, killing 38 people.
