Odisha: Vacant posts in government departments will be filled by March 31,

Bhubaneswar: As a New Year present to the residents of Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi announced on Wednesday to fill up the vacant posts in various government departments. In the upcoming five years, as many as 1.50 lakh posts will be filled he said.Further, Odisha CM said that in the next two years, 65,000 vacant government posts will be filled. As per statistics, around 1,10,557 posts are lying vacant in the state. To fill these posts, the recruitment cycle has already begun. A visionary target of March 31, 2025 has been set for the recruitment in the vacant posts.For this the several governments departments have been instructed to send proposals to the Nijukti Aayog to speed up the recruitment cycle. In this regard, CM Majhi had discussions with the three chairpersons of the Nijukti Aayog.According to reports, CM Majhi had a meeting with the chairperson of the Nijukti Aayog at the Lok Sewa Bhawan on Wednesday. He insisted that the recruitment procedure should be error-less, transparent and should be sped up. Special focus on recruitments in health, home, education and agriculture departments should be taken.For filling up of the posts of Group-B category, the approval of the empowered committee is not required said Chief Minister Majhi. For checking and safeguarding the employment of the PwD category, reorganization of the authorized committee of the finance department will be done. In the reorganized committee, the social security and empowerment of PwD will be focused.
