Rain in Odisha: IMD issues orange warning for 9 districts, yellow warning for 21 districts

Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange warning for nine districts and yellow warning for 21 districts of Odisha. The weather department has issued the orange and yellow warnings for rain in 30 districts of the State. Check the details of IMD’s weather warning:

ORANGE WARNING:

  • Thunderstorm with limiting with gusty surface wind speed reaching 50 60 kmph and hailstorm with heavy rainfall is very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada and Koraput.

YELLOW WARNING:

  • Thunderstorm with lightning with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40 50 kmph is very likely to occur in the afternoon/evening hours at one or two places over the districts of Jaipur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanai, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Sonepur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamai, Nabarangpur and Malkangiri.
