Angul: Three youths were stuck at Malyagiri Hill in Odisha’s Angul district during a trekking expedition on Wednesday, leading the Fire and Emergency Services to initiate a rescue operation.According to reports, a group of seven friends went to the hill for a trekking expedition on Wednesday morning.Out of the seven friends, four were able to climb down the hill, but three got stranded on the hill at a height of approximately 3,996 feet.The Fire and Emergency Services reached the spot immediately after receiving the information about the trapped youngsters and initiated the rescue operation.However, due to the hilly terrain, the forest area and bad weather, the operation is proving to be difficult.Officials have stated that rescue operations are ongoing and efforts are being made to ensure the safe return of the stranded youths to the plains.They have advised people to be cautious and not to venture into such places during the monsoons due to frequent changes in weather patterns.
