Bhubaneswar , 15/10: In a major surprise, Biju Janata Dal (BJD) picked former minister Snehangini Chhuria as its nominee for the upcoming Nuapada bypoll.
The regional party found itself in a fix after Jay Dholakia, son of late sitting BJD MLA Rajendra Dholakia and once seen as its probable candidate for the bypoll, switching sides to BJP. He will contest the bypoll as the saffron party candidate.
