The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) have resumed their demolition drive along Ekamra Kanan road in Bhubaneswar.The eviction is part of the ongoing construction of a proposed 200-feet road project designed to ease traffic congestion in the area.The operation on Hatiasuni road on Saturday, May 2, 2026, was conducted with a target to demolish 81 structures on-site. This adds to the more than 550 houses that have already been cleared as part of the project.
