Dalmia Bharat Foundation Strengthens Nutrition Support for 130 TB Patients in Rajgangpur

Rajgangpur,: Reinforcing its commitment to community healthcare, Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd., one of India’s leading cement companies, distributed 130 nutrition kits to TB patients at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Rajgangpur, under its Nikshya Mitra initiative. The initiative aims to complement medical treatment with nutritional support, helping patients maintain their health and well-being during their TB treatment and recovery. Adequate nutrition, alongside regular medication, plays an important role in supporting the recovery of TB patients. Through the Nikshya Mitra initiative, DBF has been supporting active TB patients with nutrition kits as part of its continued efforts towards TB eradication. During FY 2025–26, over 1,000 nutrition kits were distributed across its operational areas, benefiting TB patients in the communities around Rajgangpur. The distribution was undertaken in the presence of the Medical Officer and doctors from CHC Rajgangpur, DCBL HR Team and members of the DBF and CSR teams. Speaking on the initiative, Mr. Ashutosh Kumar Tiwary Deputy Executive Director and Unit Head – Rajgangpur, said, “At Dalmia Bharat, we believe community health and well-being are integral to sustainable development. Through our continued efforts under the Nikshya Mitra initiative, we aim to complement medical treatment with nutritional support and help TB patients through their treatment and recovery. We remain committed to working with healthcare institutions and local communities to contribute towards the vision of a TB-free India.” Alongside nutritional assistance, the Foundation has also been undertaking awareness activities to encourage timely diagnosis, treatment adherence and greater awareness around TB prevention and care. These efforts are aimed at supporting patients through their treatment while contributing to greater community awareness and reducing the stigma associated with the disease.
