DAV Public School, PPL Paradip Hosts Investiture Ceremony and Merit Felicitation
Paradip, July 18, 2026: DAV Public School, PPL Township, Paradip, successfully organized its Investiture Ceremony and Merit Felicitation Programme on 18 July 2026 at the PPL Community Hall, Paradip.
The programme was graced by Shri S. Girish, Chief Executive Officer & Unit Head, Paradeep Phosphates Limited (PPL), and Chairman of the School Managing Committee, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Shri Sumit Senapati, Chief General Manager (HR), Shri Prashant Pradhan, Chief General Manager (Finance), Shri Anil Verma, Chief General Manager (Production), members of the School Managing Committee, senior officials of PPL, Shri Sambit Sukumar Chinara, Principal of IFFCO DAV Public School, and Mrs. Geetanjali Hota, Principal of PPT DAV Public School. They were warmly welcomed by the Principal of DAV Public School, PPL, Shri Sanjeeb Kumar Sahu.
The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. In his welcome address, Principal Shri Sanjeeb Kumar Sahu emphasized that hard work, perseverance, and dedication are the keys to academic excellence. He also highlighted the importance of nurturing leadership qualities among students.
A major highlight of the event was the Merit Felicitation Ceremony, where students of the English medium who secured above 90% marks in Classes X and XII, along with the top three rank holders of Class X (Odia Medium), were honoured. Students securing first, second, and third positions in every class of both English and Odia mediums were also felicitated with awards and certificates for their outstanding academic performance.
The event featured welcome songs and cultural dance performances, adding colour and enthusiasm to the celebration.
During the Investiture Ceremony, the newly elected Student Cabinet members were presented with badges and sashes. The young leaders took the oath of office, pledging to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity, discipline, and commitment towards the school.
Another significant moment of the programme was the release of the school’s annual magazine, Abhilasha by the Chief Guest and other dignitaries.
The entire event was conducted under the able guidance of Principal Shri Sanjeeb Kumar Sahu, with the support of the coordinators Shri Brundaban Rout and Shri Maheswar Panigrahi, along with the dedicated efforts of the teaching staff of both English and Odia mediums.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Shri Brundaban Rout, who expressed gratitude to the guests, parents, staff, and students for making the event a grand success.
The Regional Director of DAV Institutions, Dr. Keshab Chandra Satpathy, and Regional Officer, Dr. Sujata Sahu, conveyed their appreciation and congratulated the school for the successful and well-organized conduct of the Investiture Ceremony and Merit Felicitation Programme.
