Bhubaneswar: A homeopathic doctor was allegedly beaten to death by his elder brother and other family members over a long-standing land dispute in Baradang village under Mahakalapada police station in Kendrapara district.The deceased has been identified as Golak Chandra Nauri, a homeopathic practitioner.According to reports, a heated argument broke out between Golak and his elder brother Abhay late on Thursday night over the land dispute. The quarrel soon escalated into a violent group attack.Abhay and other family members allegedly assaulted Golak brutally. Even after Golak fell unconscious, his family members continued to beat him, police sources said.Family members later rushed the critically injured Golak first to Mahakalapada Community Health Centre. He subsequently referred to Kendrapara District Headquarters Hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.Meanwhile, police have detained four people, including the prime accused Abhay, in connection with the murder.Further investigation is underway.
