Ahmedabad, 18/7: At least eight people were killed and 15 others injured in a powerful explosion at a firecracker factory in Ahmedabad on Saturday afternoon. Preliminary investigations revealed that the licence for the makeshift factory, which was operating on an open farm, had been cancelled. Despite this, the factory continued to function.The explosion occurred at the firecracker unit located on the Ramol-Gatrad Road canal under Ramol police station jurisdiction.
