Bhubaneswar :Ferro Alloys Corporation Ltd. (FACOR), a subsidiary of Vedanta Group, welcomed 30 students of 10th standard and 3 teachers from DAV SDPS Public School for an immersive industrial visit aimed at exposing young learners to real-world manufacturing processes and modern industrial safety practices.
The visit began with a detailed safety induction, ensuring every student understood the plant’s safety norms before stepping into operational areas. The group then proceeded through the Charge Chrome Plant (CCP) and FACOR Power Plant, where they were introduced to various stages of production, observed raw materials used in ferrochrome manufacturing, and witnessed how these materials are transformed into finished products.
Throughout the tour, students experienced first-hand how large-scale industrial systems function and how teams across departments work together to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety. The objective was to bridge theoretical learning with practical exposure, encouraging curiosity and building awareness about industrial careers.
The visit concluded with an interaction session led by FACOR’s leadership team, who spoke about the company’s values, safety culture, technological advancements, and opportunities in the mining and metals sector. Students eagerly participated, asking insightful questions and sharing their observations.
