Paris, 7/6: It was not Russian roulette, but a Deutsche one, as Germany’s Alexander Zverev won his maiden Grand Slam title, beating unheralded Italian Flavio Cobolli 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, 7-6, 6-1 in the men’s singles final at the Parisian clay on Sunday (June 7).Zverev had lost three Grand Slam finals in his career, but literally nailed it with a gritty win at the Court Philippe-Chatrier Court.Zverev and Cobolli entered Sunday’s final locked at 1-1 in their ATP Head–Head series in 2026.
