Gajanan S. Kale Takes Charge as CEO of TPCODL

Bhubaneswar, : TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, has appointed Gajanan S. Kale as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He will also continue to serve as the Chief of Odisha Distribution Business for Tata Power.

A veteran power sector professional with over 34 years of experience, Mr. Kale brings extensive expertise in power distribution and utility management. He holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from NIT Nagpur and a management qualification from IIM Ahmedabad.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Kale has held several key leadership roles across Tata Power’s distribution businesses. His experience spans operations and maintenance, customer service, commercial operations, network engineering, inventory management and corporate social responsibility. Prior to this appointment, he served as CEO TPNODL, CEO TPDDL, CEO TPADL and CEO TPWODL.

Speaking on his appointment, Mr. Kale said, “I am honoured to take on this responsibility. Together with our employees and stakeholders, we will continue to strengthen power distribution services, enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to Odisha’s development journey.”

Mr. Kale succeeds Arvind Singh, under whose leadership TPCODL made significant strides in improving operational performance, customer service and network reliability.

TPCODL serves a population of approximately 1.36 crore and caters to a consumer base of 32.96 lakh across a distribution network spanning 29,354 square kilometres. Its service area covers the districts of Khurda, Puri, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Angul, Nayagarh, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, and parts of Jajpur in Odisha.
