Gaon Sathi committee Agitation, memorandum to CM through DM

Malkangiri, correspondent 19/09The Gaon sathi Sangh Joint Action Committee, on the call of Odisha Pradesh President Laxmidhar Biswal, has submitted a memorandum to the Honorable Chief Minister of the state through the Malkangiri District Collector, including 9-point state-level demands and 6-point district-level demands. Hundreds of Gaon sathi members, members and block and district organizers, led by the Sangh Coordinator Laxman Madhi, met the District Collector and submitted the memorandum . The demand letter includes 9 major demands such as providing a monthly incentive of more than 15 thousand rupees to the Gaon sathi, appointment of eligible Gaonsathi in permanent GRS posts  Similarly, the 6-point demands at the district level include – implementing the provisions of letter no. 14509 (dated 19.08.2026), sending the correct database of villagers to the state, engaging villagers in all Geo tagging work, paying arrears immediately and issuing work orders under the previous Jivika-Ramji scheme.  The Sangh has requested the state government through the media and the District Collector to officially announce the monthly salary and social security demands of the villagers within the next 7 days. If the government does not fulfill this demand, then the Sangh has warned that more than 40,000 villagers, their families and job card holders will hold a strong protest at the Lower PMG Hall in front of the Odisha Assembly at 9 am on September 21. Hundreds of village members including Laxman Madhi, Narendra Madhi, P. Kamraju, Dulla Sodi, Gopal Prasad Muduli, Hari Nayak and others were present at the event today.Gaon Sathi
