Gudari NAC Records 92% Rise in OSR Collection, Set for State-Level Honour

Rayagada, August 24, 2026: Gudari Notified Area Council (NAC) has recorded a significant 92% growth in Own Source of Revenue (OSR) collection, earning a state-level honour for its performance in strengthening municipal revenue.The NAC’s OSR collection rose from ₹36.45 lakh in 2015-16 to ₹70.20 lakh in 2024-25, marking an increase of about 92.6% over the nine-year period.Recognising the improvement, the Housing & Urban Development Department, Odisha, has selected Gudari NAC for the award titled “Commendable Local Body Performance in Growth of OSR Collection.”The achievement has been attributed to the guidance of Rayagada Collector Ashutosh Kulkarni and the support and encouragement of Project Director-cum-DUDA Officer Akshay Kumar Khemundu, along with the coordinated efforts of NAC officials and employees in strengthening revenue collection.Gudari NAC will receive the state-level recognition at the State-level Autonomous Day programme scheduled to be held in Bhubaneswar on August 31, 2026.As part of the recognition, the NAC is also set to receive a ₹2 crore award amount, which is expected to further strengthen its capacity for urban development and civic infrastructure.The sharp rise in OSR collection is being seen as an important step towards improving the financial sustainability of Gudari NAC and accelerating development activities in the urban area.
