New Delhi, 25/7: Activist Sonam Wangchuk has dismissed allegations that he struck a “deal” with the Centre to end his 26-day hunger strike, saying his decision was driven by fears of a possible police crackdown on students protesting in Delhi. In a YouTube video released late Friday, Wangchuk said he agreed to call off his indefinite fast only after receiving a written assurance from the Centre that no legal action would be taken against peaceful protesters.
