JSW Foundation, the CSR arm of JSW JFE Steel Limited, organized a dissemination workshop on the
Apparel Training & Development Program at Sambalpur on 30 July 2027, marking the successful
completion of a three-year initiative implemented in collaboration with the Apparel Training and Design
Centre (ATDC). The program provided apparel skill training to 300 unemployed women from the
peripheral areas of JSW JFE Steel Ltd., enabling enhanced employability and sustainable livelihood
opportunities.
The workshop was graced by Shri Debjit Nandi, MD, Sambalpuri Bastralaya, Shri Srimanta Hota, Joint
CEO, ORMAS, Sambalpur, Dr. Neera Singh Parihar, Director, ATDC, NHO, Shri Sanjay Mohapatra, DPM,
Odisha Livelihoods Mission, and Shri Vishal Raj, CSR Head – Western Odisha, JSW Foundation.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Vishal Raj encouraged the trainees to make the best use of the
opportunities provided through the program, continuously upgrade their skills and strive towards
becoming financially independent and self-reliant. Beneficiaries shared inspiring success stories on
how the training enhanced their technical skills, confidence and livelihood prospects. The event also
featured exhibition stalls by Self-Help Groups showcasing products and entrepreneurial achievements.
A discussion was held on linking trained women with Government schemes such as DDU-GKY and PM
Vishwakarma scheme to enhance their access to advanced skill training and sustainable livelihood
opportunities, as highlighted by Shri Srimanta Hota, Jt. CEO, ORMAS, Sambalpur & other Dignitaries.
The workshop reaffirmed JSW Foundation’s commitment to empowering women & youth through skill
development, entrepreneurship and inclusive socio-economic growth.
