Jajpur: The famous Maa Biraja Temple in Odisha’s Jajpur district is witnessing a huge rush of devotees on the auspicious occasion of Maha Sasthi. The shrine of Maa Biraja, the presiding deity of Jajpur, has come alive with religious fervour as devotees throng the temple to seek the blessings of the Goddess.A large number of devotees have gathered at the temple to have darshan of Maa Biraja inside the sanctum sanctorum and touch the feet of the deity.On the occasion of Maha Panchami last night, special rituals and prayers were performed at the temple. The Goddess was adorned in the magnificent Suna Besha (golden attire) as part of the celebrations.As per the schedule, the representative idol of Maa Biraja will be placed on a chariot in the afternoon, followed by the ceremonial pulling of the chariot.Meanwhile, the temple administration has made elaborate arrangements to ensure smooth and orderly darshan for devotees during the festivities.
