Man posing as Army officer caught while trying to enter Jagannath Temple

Puri: A man allegedly posing as an Army officer was caught while he was trying to enter the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Sunday. The man was detained by the temple’s Enforcement Squad and subsequently handed over to Singhadwar Police.The accused, identified as Upendra Purohit reportedly hails from Rajasthan. He was allegedly dressed in an Army uniform when he arrived at the temple premises.According to reports, the Enforcement Squad became suspicious during the entry process and apprehended the individual. Upon verification, it was found that he was allegedly impersonating an Army officer.Singhadwar Police detained the individual and initiated an inquiry into the matter.It is worth noting that a few days ago, a broker was robbing devotees visiting the temple. Jaga Darshan took money, 11 were arrested in 5 days. 11 fake brokers were arrested on the charge of taking money from devotees to give them darshan of Mahaprabhu. They were arrested on the basis of CCTV footage, facts and evidence. Puri SP Pratya Singh informed that an investigation is underway to find out who is involved with them.
