Rayagada: In a grand theft case, miscreants looted around 700 grams of gold jewellery along with Rs 2 Lakh cash in Kenduguda village under the Padmapur police limits in Odisha’s Rayagada district. The theft occurred inside the house of Debendra Panda of the Kenduguda village.According to sources, the miscreants looted his house when Debendra had gone to attend wedding feast of a relative in Seragada village in Ganjam district. He had gone to visit his relatives from July 22.Upon returning to his house on Sunday, he found that the lock of his house has been broken and the gold jewellery kept and cash kept inside the almirah locker. So, he immediately informed the police about the robbery and filed a complaint in the Padmapur police station.Acting on the complaint, the police have started investigating the case with help of scientific team and dog squad.
