Dhenkanal: A suspected motorcycle thief was reportedly caught by locals, stripped and tied up near the fire station in Ward No. 2 under Bhuban police limits in Odisha’s Dhenkanal district. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media.According to information, a motorcycle was allegedly stolen from the Ganesh Bazar area on Thursday. The theft was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the area.Late on Saturday night, the motorcycle owner spotted the same person moving around a lane near the fire station. He, along with some locals, managed to catch the suspected thief.The locals then stripped the man and tied him up. However, before the suspected thief could be handed over to the police, he took advantage of the darkness and managed to escape while being taken to the police station.Locals have urged the police to intensify night patrolling in the Bhuban area to prevent such incidents and maintain law and order.
