Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple development projects in Brajrajnagar, Jharsuguda district, on Thursday.The event marked a significant step toward the government’s vision of a developed Brajrajnagar.The minister laid the foundation stone for the modern Atal Bus Stand, a Rs 32.78‑crore project approved under the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation’s 2023‑24 plan.TheOdisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation will execute the construction, targeted for completion by August 2027. He also launched 82 new projects worth Rs 23.48 crore and inaugurated 12 completed worksworth Rs2.77 crore.Officials,includingJharsuguda Collector Kunal Motiram Chhabwan, Zilla Parishad CEO Biswa Ranjan Nayak, Municipality Chairperson Krishna Gopal Sitani, Executive Officer Chandramani Swain, SDPO Chintamani Pradhan, and Housing Board Deputy Manager Santosh Kumar Dalei, attended the ceremony.In his address, Pujari said the proposed bus stand would become a milestone in local infrastructure development. Spread over 3.3 acres, the facility will include 19 modern amenities such as parking, EV charging sheds, CCTV security, dormitories, and food courts. He emphasised that the projects would strengthen the city’s foundation and create employment opportunities for local youth.The minister also announced a Rs 36‑crore action plan for 2026‑27 and highlighted upcoming projects, including a Rs 3.6‑crore modern meat market, Rs 3.42‑crore library, Rs 2.1‑crore community hall, and Rs 1.2‑crore shopping complex. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to holistic development and welfare for every section of society.
