Odisha SSB invites applications for 14 Junior Assistant posts; apply by August 18

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha State Selection Board (OSSB) has invited online applications for the recruitment of 14 Junior Assistant/Clerk posts in the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, under the School and Mass Education Department. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official OSSB website until August 18, 2026.According to the official notification (Advertisement No. 03/2026), the online application process commenced on July 1, 2026, and will remain open until 11:45 pm on August 18, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete both the application and fee payment within the stipulated deadline.Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution. They should also have basic computer knowledge supported by a valid certification. As of January 1, 2026, candidates must be between 21 and 42 years of age to be eligible for the recruitment.The selection process will consist of two stages-a Written Examination followed by a Computer Skill Test. Candidates selected for the post will be appointed under Pay Level-4 of the state government pay matrix.The application fee has been fixed at Rs. 500 for candidates belonging to the General, SEBC and OBC categories, while SC, ST and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates are required to pay Rs. 200.Out of the 14 vacancies, six have been earmarked for the Unreserved (UR) category, four for Scheduled Tribe (ST), and four for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates. A total of four posts are reserved for women, including two in the UR category and two in the SC category.The admit cards for the written examination will be released 7 to 10 days before the examination date, while the exam schedule will be announced separately by the Board. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official OSSB website for updates regarding the recruitment process.
