Bhubaneswar, November 26, 2025: Athletes of Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High-
Performance Centre (GHPC) have achieved remarkable success at the International
Continental Cup held in Lisbon, Portugal during November 21 – 23, 2025. Athletes from the
GHPC dominated both Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics
(WAG). All 12 gymnasts of the GHPC who had participated in various categories, won 20
medals in various competitions.
In the Senior Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG -Sr) category, Jagadish Barik claimed a brilliant
triple-bronze in All-Around, Rings, and Vault, while Mrutyunjay Pattanaik added a bronze in
Parallel Bars. In the Team event, three GHPC gymnasts including Jagadish Barik, Mrutyunjay
Pattanaik and Sumit Dhali created history by securing gold.
In the Senior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG – Sr), Tannu secured bronze medal in Uneven
Bars and Priyanshi Bansal secured bronze medal in Vault. In the team event, five GHPC
gymnasts including Tannu, Priyanshi Bansal, Aditi Todi, Adita Mondal and Rashmita secured
the silver medal.
In the Junior Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG – Jr) category, Anshuman Sundara secured gold
medal on the High Bar. Buri Chandra Rao bagged two silver medals in Vaults and All -round
Gymnastics, he also added to the glory by securing three bronze medals in the Floor, Pommel
Horse and Rings. Debashis Reddy secured two silver medals in Pommel horse and High bars
as well as two bronze medals in Vaults and All round. In the Team event, three GHPC gymnasts
including Anshuman Sundara, Debashis Reddy and Biru Chandra Rao created history by
securing gold medal. In the Junior Women’s Artistic Gymnastics (WAG – Jr), Pritti Jhankar
earned silver medal for her excellent performance in Vault.
Their performance was a reminder that the next wave of Indian gymnastics is already rising with
force and finesse.
With 19 elite gymnastics clubs from across the globe competing at the International Continental
Cup in Lisbon, the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre athletes stood
out with their stellar medal haul. Their success has not only brought immense pride to Odisha
but has also ignited inspiration for aspiring gymnasts across India.
