Gajapati: Police conducted a raid at a gambling den at the ‘Jai Mata Di Kalyan Mandap’ near Debiti village, on the outskirts of Paralakhemundi in Gajapati district. The police has arrested 70 gamblers and seized cash worth Rs 12 lakh, 9 cars, 15 motorcycles, and 60 mobile phones.It has been reported that the arrested individuals include numerous businessmen and government employees from both Paralakhemundi and the neighboring state of Andhra Pradesh.During the raid, police also seized plastic tokens bearing numerical markings.Paralakhemundi IIC Prashant Bhupati stated that an investigation is underway to determine how these tokens were being used.
