Rayagada Achieves 100% Digitization in Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Exercise

Rayagada, June 24, 2026: Rayagada district has achieved a significant milestone in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) programme being conducted as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. The district has successfully completed 100 percent digitization of all voter-related data collected during the exercise, becoming the second district in Odisha to achieve this target.

The SIR programme commenced on May 30 with door-to-door visits and distribution of Enumeration Forms. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) visited households across the district to collect, verify and update voter information. Subsequently, the processes of form collection, digitization and verification were carried out on a fast-track basis.

A total of 895 BLOs were engaged across the district’s three Assembly constituencies, and 7,14,500 Enumeration Forms were distributed. All collected forms have now been digitized, while the verification process is progressing smoothly.

The achievement has been attributed to the continuous monitoring and guidance of Rayagada Collector Ashutosh Kulkarni, efficient management by the Election Branch, and the coordinated efforts of BLOs, Supervisors, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), and other election personnel.

With the digitization phase now complete, the period for filing claims and objections will be open from July 5 to August 4, 2026. The disposal of claims and objections will be completed by September 2, and the final electoral roll will be published on September 6, 2026.

According to the district administration, this achievement will further strengthen the accuracy, transparency and credibility of the electoral roll, while enhancing the efficiency and reliability of future election management in the district.
