Sindhikela village under Balangir district has been rocked by a series of loot and theft incidents, leaving residents in fear.Masked miscreants have repeatedly targeted homes, threatening families with violence if they report the crimes.Two days ago, a gang stormed a house, looted valuables, and warned the family against approaching police. In the latest incident at 3 AM today, five masked men broke into the house of Fulchan Jeni, looted gold ornaments worn by women, and attacked family members.A crucial lead has emerged from CCTV footage, which shows a Bolero vehicle parked near a school close to the police station. Investigators suspect the vehicle was used to transport stolen goods.Earlier, Sindhikela’s Maa Dwarsani temple also witnessed a theft, sparking outrage among villagers who gheraoed the local police station demanding swift action.With repeated loot incidents and fresh CCTV evidence, police have intensified their investigation. Efforts are underway to identify the Bolero and those involved, as villagers remain anxious under the growing menace of masked looters.
